Electrical Engineer

Sentech, Inc is looking for an Electrical Engineer who is hands-on and who can plan and conduct activities for the design and manufacturing of Electrical position sensors and circuits.
The candidate is responsible for designing products and for bridging the gap between engineering, production, and quality with a focus on Rotary and Linear Sensor product lines and
associated circuits. The primary products are Linear and Rotary Variable Differential Transformers (LVDT, RVDT). The candidate will work closely with all disciplines and report to
the Director of Engineering.


Job Description: Electrical Engineer

o Design, develop and implement solutions for Position Sensors, Signal Conditioners, Solenoids, and other electromagnetic coil-based products.
o Design LVDT & RVDT components and assemblies
o Support manufacturing of LVDT & RVDT components and assemblies
o Test and validate LVDT & RVDT components and assemblies
o Make engineering changes to improve existing product designs  
o Create and provide technical data to validate performance for customer requirements.
o Apply problem solving tools/skills to investigate nonconformance parts.
o Follow Document Control per Sentech ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Production Test Engineer

Sentech, Inc has an opening for a Production Test Engineer to support the testing of electrical position sensors and circuit boards.   The candidate is responsible for all test equipment and test data for prototype and production sensors.  The testing requirements include both in-process testing during manufacturing to ensure quality control and final testing before shipping to measure and record performance and accuracy results.  

The test equipment includes custom, semi-automated measurement devices running on C sharp (C#) programming language and standard electrical lab equipment such as AC/DC power supplies, function generators, amplifiers, oscilloscopes and multi-meters.  The primary sensor products designed and manufactured by Sentech are Linear and Rotary Variable Differential Transformers (LVDT, RVDT).  The candidate will work closely with all disciplines and report to the Director of Engineering.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing test equipment hardware and software to support production
  • Evaluate and improve existing test equipment hardware and software
  • Design, develop and implement new test equipment to reduce test time and to add better control and data recording for pass/fail criteria
  • Create and store technical data to validate performance for customer requirements.
  • Apply problem solving tools/skills to investigate test equipment issues
  • Assist production in managing the work flow and priorities in the test lab
  • Test and validate LVDT & RVDT components and assemblies as needed
  • Follow Document Control per Sentech ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Senior Electronics Technician

The person for this position is part of the production team for building and testing the electro-magnetic position sensors
designed and manufactured by Sentech. The individual performs sub-assembly and testing of electronic components to
produce high quality final products. A high level of attention to detail is required with this individual to eliminate waste
and scrap during the manufacturing process. The technician also works with the design engineers to test new products
and to define new performance limits for production items when necessary. The individual reports to the Production
Manager.


Major Duties:

• Hand assembly of electronic components for Production lots
• Troubleshoot PCB Assemblies down to component level.
• Read electronics schematics and PCB assembly drawings.
• Place & solder through-hole and SMT components on small, simple printed circuit boards.
• Perform preliminary PCB testing.
• Make simple wire harness assemblies.
• Prepare lead wires for assembly, including cutting, stripping, and tinning.
• Prepare connector assemblies with the use of crimping tools
• Test electromagnetic coil assemblies for mechanical features and electronic performance.
• Collaborate with all production workers to maintain and improve product quality.
• Follow quality control procedures for configuration control of parts lists and drawing revisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
• 3-5 years minimum experience working as a production technician in an electronics field.
• Proficient with reading electronics schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Proficient with identification of electronics components (resistors, capacitors, etc..)
• Proficient with using electronic testing equipment such as digital multimeters, AC and DC power supplies, dielectric
insulation testers, data recorders, etc.
• Familiarity with AWG hook-up wires and cable assembly.
• Proficient with soldering, wiring and electrical connectors for small components.
• Proficient with using a computer for writing test results and recording test data.
• Familiar with computer-based automated test equipment is a plus.
• Database or ERP experience, preferred.
• Minimum IPC 610 certification or Equivalent.
• US citizen or Permanent resident able to speak and read English.
• Able to pass a background check.

Education: 
• Minimum Associates Degree
• Minimum 2 or more years Technical Degree

Production Assembly/Coil Winder

Sentech, Inc. is seeking an Assembly / Production Coil Winder to join our Sensor Manufacturing Team. General areas of responsibility include handling semi /finished products, operating equipment; ensuring final product meets company standards.

This position will be responsible for set up and operation of coil winding machinery as well as the hand soldering of small gauge connection wiring. This individual must be organized and have the ability to understand manufacturing instructions from procedures and engineering drawings.

Major Duties:

  • Experience in operating light industrial machinery.
  • Assembly of small mechanical assemblies.
  • Must follow all the safety procedures, environmental guidelines and company rules and regulations while assembling.
  • Attention to detail mentality and appreciation of project deadlines is essential.
  • Soldering skills, familiarity with electrical circuits
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must know how to handle parts and be able to read prints.
  • Must be able to interpret handwritten instructions and drawings.
  • Must be detail oriented and self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • US citizen or Permanent resident.

Education:

  • High School Diploma required.
