Sales Engineer

Sentech, Inc is looking for a Sales Engineer who is hands-on, technically keen, and focused on customer satisfaction. The candidate is responsible for working to understand customers’ needs and provide the best solution from Sentech’s product line. If a specific solution doesn’t exist, the sales engineer will work with the customer and Sentech’s engineering team to develop a response. A background in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred along with experience in sales and marketing. While preferred, a technical background and willingness to learn along with customer service experience will be considered. The candidate will work closely with engineering and report to the Vice-President.


  • Develop a technical understanding of existing product lines and applications.
  • Be a first point of contact for customers and maintain the highest level of service.
  • Work to expand current customer relationships and develop new opportunities with legacy accounts.
  • Drive marketing efforts to expand current product lines to new customer.
  • Understand and communicate customers’ technical needs to Sentech’s Engineering and design team and work to develop creative solutions.
  • Daily Involvement in making decisions and/or providing technical data for decision that impact compliance with design/customer requirements.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Follow Document Control in accordance with Sentech AS 9100, ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Familiar with documentation including, but not limited to:

  • Electrical Schematics
  • Wiring Diagrams and engineering drawing
  • Customer Purchase orders

Sentech, Inc. is a company specializing in the design and manufacture of position sensing transducers along with supporting signal conditioning and instrumentation, since 1988. We are located near Willow Grove, PA and minutes from PA turnpike. The position is Full Time.


  • Working with or supporting Technical and Precision products (Required)
  • Work in a technical Mechanical or Electrical Engineering position 2 – 3 years (Preferred)
  • Proven record of quality service and interaction with external contacts (Required)
  • History of developing customer relationships and marketing strategy 2+ years (Preferred)


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
  • Or: MBA (Preferred) or Bachelor’s in sales or marketing will be considered
